Eric Drew..... what more needs be said...
hard to tell if they've giving him a little more than just 'side-man'.
I only know his cover of "Nobody Likes Me, Everybody Hates Me" from the "Goobers" comp....
as far as 'solo' work!

lol... you parodying yourself is always a treat to see, but in all seriousness... i'm sure we'll get news after Banshee drops.

i haven't received my single so i can't comment on Train v.s. Elephant, but Banshee is REALLY GOOD! John Sanborn's collaborations with them, video-wise, are always a trip.

So MVD is handling the CD and Psychofon is handling the vinyl release. Not sure if the album artwork has grown on me yet but it probably will.

Well If the rest of the album is as good as train vs. elephant It will definitely hold a very special place in my collection.

i like it all. again Psychofon hit the nail on the head. the ''Collector's" edition vinyl looks very good in its splatter jacket and i'm looking forward to the postcards that come along. the "Die-hard lenticular" edition is, imo, a real gem.. 2 one sided albums in very neat vinyl with them 'Flip-Flop' labels (witch i had never seen before) and then that 7"!! can hardly wait to add these wonderful vinyls to the collection!!

On his site Charles Bobuck lists the album in his discography. Is he still a member although he doesn't tour anymore or did they use music he composed before he left ? ???

yes. half of the music on the album was written by him.

i assume so. in fact, im not sure that he would just write music for it and tell someone else to play it. Charles strikes me as the "if you want it done right, do it yourself" type.

So, although he quit the band he's still a member. That makes sense  ;D

Ahh ... just got my hands on this one. After the first listen I can say The Crash at Crush must be my favourite Rz track of the last 13 years or so. Love the soundscape of it. And it's in 3/4 time! (Well, at least partly.)

Other favourites after the second listen: Death Harvest and Killed at a Crossing are both wonderful, coming in second and third after Crash at Crush
Great tracks, but not marvellous: Great Circus Train Wreck and Train vs Elephant.
Least impressive: The weirdly funky Shroud of Flames and the not-quite-up-to-notch Horrors of the Night.

How 'bout you, folks? Any opinions yet?
