A Thread For Introductions
« on: October 16, 2016, 10:14:15 am »
since i was having some difficulties in figuring out how to get folks to actually... well, use the forum, the idea of an introductions thread was proposed to me. your post should/can consist of

-name (make one up if you have to.)
-a non-Rz interest, like a hobby or something.
-current favorite album(s)/project(s) from The Rz

i'll start.

you can call me moleshow or mole or (insert name). an interest of mine is Beanie Babies, but only the bears. i also draw/paint. current favorite project is Wormwood.

I'm tweedles/Kerosene, my only hobby is toiling on the farm, harvesting my corn. My favorite album is God in 3 Persons. I like to listen to it while I harvest my corn.

Hey Moleshow, Hope this thing takes off.
33 year fan from the Chicagoland area. You may have attended a Huddle or two that I have hosted in the Chicago area beginning in '98.
Looking forward with an open mind to the new changes in our favorite band.
Peace- Out!

howdy! i'm hya. i'm a relatively new fan hailing from louisville, ky. i like watching movies, adding onto my vinyl collection, researching local ufo sightings, philosophy, and long walks in the swamp. my favorite rz album is animal lover at the moment, but that changes pretty frequently!

Thanks for making another forum for the Rez. I never found the official chat roll very useful because I'm never at a computer/website for long periods of time, and any "discussion" there would be lost after so long.

Been a Rez fan for 20 years, got hooked on the Bad Day game and I'm still hooked. Also started listening to Zappa and Sun Ra around the same time, and those 3 artists make up a large portion of my collection (so damn prolific are they).

Right now the latest Bobuck stuff is what I'm most into. I've always like the instrumental Rez, and I'm glad he is still making music.

My most cherished Rez item is a book that was sold during the Bunny Boy era as an eBay auction. I'm sure people remember he was selling items from his room, a lot of them were art pieces (or found objects), but I bought a book for a fair price and emailed "Bunny" to ask if he'd sign it before it got mailed off, which he did, in character. Not sure if he did that for anyone else, but I'm lucky to have such a unique item.

A Good Hello.  Long time fan here.  I love climbing trees, mushroom hunting, and making wood block prints.  Current spins are Demons Dance Alone and The Big Bubble.  Both are moody, albeit on different planets.  Blessed Be.

Hi,
Germaine Scalp speaking
My first Residents experience was the RESIDUE LP. I bought it in 1984... I was 19.
I like taking pictures.
Will The Mole be with you.

HELLO! I am Meisekimiu! I go by "mewee" on the Residents website chat! I am a hip young millenial who has been a Residents fan for more than 2 whole months! (Okay, it's been more like 5 years at this point, but that's basically nothing compared to most **** fans).

In addition to being a Residents fan, I'm also into Japanese culture, including that weird anime stuff and Japanese pop idols! Yeah... it's kind of weird that I like Japanese pop idols and The Residents considering that idol music is probably the most disgustingly commercial pop music ever, but hey, I like it. And I enjoy the fact that I like both.  :P

My favorite Residents project ever will probably forever be Not Available. It's just wonderful and I love it so very much. In terms of things that aren't forever going to be my favorite every time, I guess right now I've been really digging The Gingerbread Man album as of late. It's pretty neato!

ho7mes is my name here as well as on RYM and Lastfm.

I first heard Goosebumps as a kid and thought it was the weirdest thing ever. I remembered it when I was in high school around 2008 (I'm 24 now) and decided to check them out. They've been my favorite band ever since.

I like video games a lot. I've especially been getting into Japanese spaceship shooters.

Not Available is my favorite album ever. As for more recent material, Mush-Room is probably my favorite.

my name is dixie! i LOVE horror, and i desperately want to see a ghost. i found out about the residents through a friend... they were very much into the residents when we were in high school. i enjoyed listening to them talk about it and i enjoyed it when they showed me some things by them but i hadn't ever considered listening by myself. but then they showed me Cube E version of Jambalaya... i thought it was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen...! i've loved the residents ever since then. as for my favorite album? i absolutely adore demons dance alone!!!

Did you ever hear the story about how members of the band SKINNY PUPPY once felt the 'presence' of SNAKEFINGER in a motel....?
I think they got scared and left the motel.....
